Compressed Natural Gas - An Alternative Fuel
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) are two of the cleanest burning alternative fuels available.
This natural gas is the same gas that you use daily to heat your home and water, cook on the stove and even to dry your clothes in a dryer. The use of CNG fuel is becoming more popular with both commercial and non-commercial vehicles

CNG Benefits
Compressed natural gas is the future of alternative fuels. CNG offers an abundance of benefits to the environment.

A Proud Partner
We keep a wide range of brands in stock. Whether you are in need of new or rebuilt valves, kits, piston rings and rider rings, HCS delivers.
Sustainability
Because of its reduced emissions, the use of CNG is more environmentally friendly than other alternatives. CNG is one of the cleanest burning fuels available.
Using this alternative fuel reduces carbon monoxide emissions by 90 to 97 percent. In terms of pollution reduction, covering one truck from diesel to natural gas is the equivalent of taking as many as 325 cards off the road.
Safety
Natural gas is a clean and low cost alternative fuel.
All fuel sources contain energy that is released through combustion. Furthermore, any fuel can be potentially dangerous if not properly handled. In modern times, we have mastered the process of harnessing these fuels for universal needs for heat, power and light.
CNG is safer than gasoline. Natural gas or methane is a non toxic gas that is lighter than air. It will not puddle, like gasoline, or sink to the ground, like propane, which is heavier than air. Instead, Natural Gas will rise and dissipate in the atmosphere.
Natural gas also has a higher ignition temperature making it much harder to ignite. The storage systems used for compressed natural gas are infinitely stronger than those of gasoline tanks.
Affordability
The price of CNG is inherently more stable than other fuels and is consistently cheaper than diesel, meaning that long-term budgeting is much simpler with CNG. Fleets that have successfully deployed Natural Gas vehicles have seen their fuel operating costs reduced by 35% or more.
